The Swedish Prince Daniel participated in the opening of the ICSB World Conference and handed over the Global Award for Entrepreneurship Research.
The winner this year is American professor Steven Klepper.

Hans Rosling, one of the world's leading global thinkers, held an inspiring keynote speach at the ICSB 2011.

Hans Rosling is professor of International Health at Karolinska Institute and co-ounder and Director of the Gapminder Foundation. Rosling's research has focused on links between economic development, agriculture, poverty and health in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Rosling was listed as one of the 100 leading global thinkers in 2009 by Foreign Policy Magazine and is internationally recognized as an inspiring public speaker.

Swedish minister for Enterprise and Energy, Maud Olofsson opened the ICSB 2011.

Maud Olofsson has shown particular interest in women entrepreneurship and simplification of rules for companies.

The 56th ICSB conference offer experts from over 70 countries an occasion to exchange best practices, interesting research, good ideas and knowledge related to the areas of innovation and entrepreneurship.

The conference will also provide an opportunity to strengtheninternational networks between policy makers, researchers and business owners. Small and medium-sized businesses form an important part of many domestic economies and make a vital contribution to the global economy. A platform of this kind is of great importance.
